Cat Sun

study the spatial patterns and genetic diversity of wildlife populations

I am from the mid-Atlantic region in the USA where I grew up playing in the backyard and digging in the garden. I kept crickets as pets and walked along train tracks on the Susquehanna River with my dad, collecting rocks, feathers, and other animal bits.

I love to travel, visit national parks and wildlife systems to learn about the local science, conservation, and management.

I attended the University of Delaware and in 2010 obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology with a Concentration in Ecology and Organismal Biology. I received my MS and PhD in Natural Resources from Cornell University, in 2014 and 2019 respectively.
